Kibble’s Intensive Fostering Services (ifs) Paisley

We are now providing intensive fostering services, offering placements to young people currently in, or at risk of, being placed in residential school. These services are fully integrated with educational or training placements with structured activities. Below are the details of the range of posts we are currently looking to fill.

Professional Foster Carers You require:

· Experience as either a foster carer preferably working with challenging young people 12-18 years or
· Experience of working with adolescents into adulthood through volunteering, work or parenting·
An understanding of looked-after children's needs and safe crisis management
· The skills and ability to work as part of a professional care team within your own home
· The capacity to provide one full-time placement with their own bedroom or
· The capacity to provide a part-time respite placement with their own bedroom

You receive:

· Basic fee in the range £25,149 - £26,379 dependent on experience and professional qualifications (pro-rata for respite)
· Maintenance allowance £8,899 - £10,823 dependent on age range of young person placed, rising to between £9,122 - £11,094 from April 1st 2006
· Generous tax free earnings based on self-employed status
· Up to 28 days paid respite per year based on earned leave· Up to 28 days paid retainer per year based on half professional fee
· Professional supervision with access to a 24 hour duty service
· Professional support through bi-monthly support and training groups.
